Dr. Aashish Manglik

Aashish Manglik is the first Stanford Distinguished Fellow and an Instructor in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Physiology at Stanford University School of Medicine. He received B.A. degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis followed by an M.D. and a Ph.D. in Biophysics from Stanford University. Dr. Manglik’s graduate research under the mentorship of Brian Kobilka focused on the structural and biophysical basis of G protein-coupled receptor signaling. Enabled by the NIH Director’s Early Independence Award, Dr. Manglik will start as an Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco in September 2017 to establish his independent research program.
