Information for Submitting Abstracts

You May Submit an Abstract for Presenting as a Speaker during the Regular Program or for Presenting a Poster during the Poster session on August 1st.

Please Submit your Abstracts by July 4th 2024 for Travel Award Consideration

All abstracts will be reviewed by our committee.

Speaker Abstract Submissions will be reviewed, and the authors invited to speak in the regular program or present their work as a poster on the evening of August 1st. 

Poster Abstract Submissions from Students and Post-Doctoral fellows may be selected to present their work as a short talk in the regular program, in addition to the poster on the evening of August 1st. 

The Abstract Format for Both Speaker Abstracts and Poster Abstracts is the Same:

There is a 350-word limit not including Title, Authors, Institutions and Acknowledgements.  There is a 1-page limit for the total Abstract.

Please Use the following Format:

Page Margins: Left 1″, Right 0.5″, Top 0.5″, Bottom 0.5″

Title: Use Arial 14 Bold, Center Justified. Capitalize all Major Words Except Articles (a, an, the) Prepositions (e.g., on, in, if) and Coordinating Conjunctions (and, or, but, nor; also for, yet and so when used as conjunctions)

Authors: Please use Arial 12 (non bold), center justified. Use superscript numbers after the authors name to indicate Institution.

Institutions: Use Arial 11 (non bold). Number each before the institution name with a superscript number. Center Justify.

Abstract, use Arial 11 (non bold) justified (block). Indent paragraphs. Word limit = 350 words

Acknowledgements: Use Arial 11, Left Justified
