Professor Debra Kendall

Debra Kendall is a Board of Trustees Distinguished Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Connecticut. The overall goal of her research is to understand the structure and function of the cannabinoid receptor family. Her recent work includes examining the allosteric modulation of CB1 and she has identified examples of allosteric ligand biased signaling via G protein independent pathways. Dr. Kendall was elected a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and is the 2016 recipient of the UConn Award for Research Excellence and Creativity. She also has been the recipient of a National Science Foundation Career Advancement Award and is an appointed member of the Connecticut Academy of Arts and Sciences.
